Oktatás célja
By the end of this course, students will be able to: Understand the theoretical frameworks and key concepts related to identity and representation. Analyze and critique the ways in which different identities are constructed and portrayed in various forms of media, literature, and art. Evaluate the impact of representation on individual and collective identities. Recognize and interrogate the dynamics of power and privilege in relation to identity representation. Engage in thoughtful and respectful discussions on complex topics related to identity and representation. Develop critical thinking and analytical skills through written assignments and class discussions.
Tantárgy tartalma
Course Description: The Dynamics of Identity and Representation course explores the complex interplay between identity and representation in various contexts in the society. Students will critically analyze how identities are constructed, negotiated, and represented, and examine the implications and consequences of these processes. The course aims to foster a deep understanding of the dynamics of power, privilege, and marginalization that shape the ways identities are portrayed and understood.
