- Learning outcomes
- The goal of the course is to provide students with a general overview of the widespread application possibilities of new online business applications that have emerged with the advent of the internet. Students should become familiar with the processes and business models of e-business, particularly e-commerce, as well as the toolset of online marketing activities, which are becoming increasingly significant alongside offline marketing tools.
- Course content
- The curriculum covers the development of the digital economy, its social and economic impacts, its operational system, and the key players in the digital market. Within this, special emphasis is placed on e-commerce and various business models. Another part of the curriculum focuses on understanding online marketing tools, the role of social media, and new innovative methods. Course participants will explore the integrated operation of offline and online marketing mixes through practical examples. Students will deepen their practical knowledge through individual and group tasks during seminars, solving case studies, and completing independent group and individual assignments, including computer-based tasks.
- Assessment method
- Out of the 100% achievable mid-term performance score, 90% can be obtained from written exams (ZH). For 3-credit courses, there are 2 written exams, each worth 45%, while for 6-credit courses, there are 3 written exams, each weighing 30%. These are usually held at the Examination Center according to a separate schedule (see the ZH calendar on the GTK TH website). Additional points, up to a total weight of 10%, can be earned through lectures, seminars, home assignments, etc., after 30% of the total lectures and seminars have taken place. Mid-term performance grants the right to take the exam and may also qualify students for a pre-offered grade. Exam grading: 50-54%: Pass (satisfactory) 55-69%: Fair (average) 70-84%: Good 85-100%: Excellent The current assessment and grading requirements of ELTE GTK apply, which can be found on the GTK TH website under the menu corresponding to the student’s level of education.
