- The aim of the course is to present the Kingdom of Hungary in the early modern period within the Habsburg Monarchy. This is guided by the development of the institutional system and the relationship between the monarch and the estates.
- Course content
- In 1526, the Kingdom of Hungary became part of the composite Central European state of the Habsburgs.The seminar examines the changes this situation brought about, what institutions were created, how the old institutions were transformed, what was the relationship between the monarch, the central institutions and the Hungarian estates, how the Hungarian nobility, the dominant social strata of the Kingdom of Hungary, experienced the changes. Language of the course: German.
- Assessment method
- Practice grade. The basic frame for evaluating student performance of the course determined by the university’s code of conduct. According to this document, the instructor can determine the means of evaluation of the course depending on the nature of the field of knowledge and skills presented at the course. A practice grade usually takes the form of an evaluation based on written and/or presented works related to the student’s work at a seminar individually or as a member of a student team.
