- America, being an economic superpower, has a great impact on most of the cultures and languages of the world, and not even Great Britain is an exception of those. The aim of this course is to reveal the differences between these two dialects of English: British and American.
- Course content
- During this course the systematic differences between British and American English will be discussed on diverse levels of the language: pronunciation, spelling and punctuation, vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, grammar, speaking style and miscellaneous differences.
- Assessment method
- Students will be assessed by a mid-term and an end-of-term test.
