- By using some key concepts of film theory and some representative movies of the past decades, the course intends to make students acquaint themselves with the historic and artistic features, questions and trends of Canadian cinema and to urge them to approach the problems inherent in the movies in a critical manner.
- Tantárgy tartalma
- The course explores some representative Canadian movies of the past few decades, investigating the ways in which movies are constructed, the technical solutions employed, the social features underlying the films, the representation of identity, indigenous people and immigrants, and the connections between literature and film.
