- This course aims to familiarize students with notions from the fields of textual linguistics, discourse analysis and pragmatics. Based above all on the theory developed by Maingueneau (2002) and Amossy (2010), the course aims to develop learners' critical thinking skills by positioning them in the gaze of a conscious and competent media consumer. To achieve this, the course analyses manipulation in the written and spoken press, as well as the notion of identity and the nature of interpersonal relationships in social networks. Once the linguistic and discursive resources have been acquired, the students will be encouraged to produce in their respective genres.
