- Schooling requirements 90 minutes of lectures per week Teaching objectives To discover and remember the main events and figures in the history and culture of post-1789 France. Aim of the course Students taking this course are expected to acquire the following fundamental skills. a) Knowledge -To be able to relate French historical events intelligently in time and space to Hungarian, European and world events. b) Skills -Understand, analyse and use acquired knowledge effectively in his/her work. -Use specifically French historical terms and the French language appropriately, both orally and in writing. -Be able to recognise the cause-consequence relationship. c) Attitude -Take an interest in the past and present history of France. -Constantly develop skills and knowledge, using the latest computer and communication technologies. -Being open to new information. d) Autonomy and responsibility -It is compulsory to watch the free videos available every week. -Regularly leaf through a historical atlas. -After class, watch the power points available on the Internet. They form an important part of the lesson (works of art, photographs, maps). -Work independently. Follow the semester programme. Attend written examinations. -Demonstrate good attendance. Take an active part in lessons by making relevant comments. Ask, raise and answer questions relating to the topics studied. -Consciously represent communicative norms in correct French.

The Fifth Republic (after the death of de Gaulle)
- Assessment method
- The final mark corresponds to the results of the various compulsory continuous assessment tests (2 Kahoot, 1 written expression, 1 report and exercises). Active participation in class is also taken into account. Optional homework (reports on documentary videos, radio programmes, exhibition visits, readings, etc.) may be used to improve the grade.
