- To be performed at the same time as Hungarian as a foreign language 5. and Hungarian as a foreign language 6. The aim is to allow students to improve their communication competence so as to meet the demands of other academic courses both orally and in written form. Knowledge Students have an understanding of the level-adaquate grammar structures of the Hungarian language know methods to improve vocabulary know the main features of the communication forms and text types of the Hungarian language, with an overview of their European and cultural context know methods for knowledge acquisition in terms of the grammatical constructs of the Hungarian language Skills Students have listening and speaking skills at the adaquate level in the Hungarian language that enable them to carry out tasks in all their academic courses have reading and writing skills that enable them to do the readings and the written assignments in all their academic subjects are able to interpret the linguistic peculiarities of the Hungarian language have the ability to improve their communication skills Attitudes Students are open to the acquisition of new knowledge and skills aim for continuous self-education, including through available technologies understand and accept that linguistic phenomena are historically and socially defined and variable stand for the linguistic, religious and social, historical and contemporary diversity of Hungarian and European identity are open to Hungarian and other cultural communities and cultures Autonomy and responsibility Students are committed to hard work are able to study autonomously are ready to make sensible decisions regarding their studies through continuous self-monitoring apply the knowledge acquired in the field of the Hungarian language in their self-education and self-understanding take responsibility for their own work, self- development, achievements and failures
- Course content
- Complex and level-adaquate grammar, vocabulary and skills development (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
- Assessment method
- Continuous evaluation of oral and written communication: classroom-work: 30%; homework during the semester: 30%; oral and written end-of-semester test: 40%. The use and application of AI is included in the learning and teaching process. The students’ awareness of the AI’s usage are also developed within the classroom, together with the necessary competencies. AI is present in both classroom and homework to support skill development. Its use is also recommended for language learning. However, it is not allowed in the end-of-semester test.
