Learning outcomes
All language competencies will be further developed in this module, but the main focus will be on increasing vocabulary as well as specific expressions through targeted topics such as tourism, intercultural communication and music. Knowledge: Intermediate and above knowledge of Dutch language rules (grammar, vocabulary) Advanced knowledge of the Dutch language versions and knowledge of the differences between them Intermediate knowledge of the culture, geography and society of the Dutch-speaking areas Reading, writing, speaking skills between secondary and higher education Skills: The student is able to communicate selectively and nuancedly on social and cultural topics Ability to deepen his / her knowledge, the student is able to apply different methods of knowledge acquisition and self-development, and is able to apply the latest information and communication technologies Recognizes the link between personal development and the service of the common good Ability to apply different procedures, major theories and related terminology to perform their tasks Ability to plan his / her own learning process and use the wide range of available resources for this purpose Ability to account for his / her knowledge of the Dutch language to small and large groups Attitudes: Open to real communication and the dissemination of general thinking Is willing to know, accept and communicate professional goals in a credible way Seeks cooperation in problem-solving whenever possible Autonomy and responsibility: Ability to think independently Open attitude to Dutch culture and language Creative use of acquired skills Willingness to develop skills beyond the compulsory curriculum
Course content
Improving the B2 language level with a variety of current topics. During the processing of the topics, language competencies and grammatical knowledge as well as vocabulary development are given equal weight.
Assessment method
A written test and an oral exam, as well as a portfolio with all readings and vocabulary development practices of the semester.
