- The Language acquisition 6 course builds on Language acquisition 5, focusing on the development of Dutch language skills as well as preparation for the state exam. During the course the emphasis is on practicing the different skills (especially speaking, reading and writing skills) and repeating the grammatical material from the previous courses. In addition, systematic attention is paid to the expansion of vocabulary through the skills file. Learning Objectives Review and apply the grammar of Dutch at Level. Practicing the structure of practical texts (letters, reviews). Advancing oral language usage. Good knowledge of authentic Dutch culture. Reading texts at CEFR level B2/C1. The student expands his vocabulary.
- Course content
- Advanced knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Ability to assimilate given literature Reading and presentation of newspaper articles Writing exercises on various topics Oral exercises, presentations
- Assessment method
- Maximum of 9 missed classes per semester. Have completed all tests. A complete skills file. Credits will be awarded if a passing grade is scored on average for all components. Students take one writing test and one speaking test that count toward the final grade. The skills file is a form of self-study consisting mainly of writing assignments. These texts must always be completed by the date set for them; texts may not be handed in later. Handing in this file is a prerequisite for taking the final exam. Also, the basis for the speaking lessons is formed by assignments or themes from the skills file or related themes. The assessment of the speaking and writing tests is done by means of an assessment form.
