- Learning outcomes
- The student is aware of the aspects that play a role in the writing process. Improving writing skills in Dutch. Being able to write a well-structured text. Being able to write a text in a style adapted to the intended reader. Bringing oral skills to an academic level.
- Course content
- The aim of the course is to prepare students for writing and presenting an academic text or presentation. During the first part of the course, students will systematically study the basics of academic writing. Various text structures will be introduced and practiced. The second part of the course focuses on preparing, writing, and delivering oral presentations. The emphasis is primarily on presentations and speeches for study or professional purposes. Students will examine audience expectations, the purpose of the presentation, and the differences between spoken and written texts. In addition, they will learn techniques to engage and captivate their audience.
