- Teaching aim: The aim is to enable students to actively participate in the study of cultural characteristics: to carry out bibliographical research on the Internet, to deepen their knowledge and to share their knowledge of Portuguese-speaking African cultures in an interactive way. Lusophony/Bantufonia, tribalism and post-colonialism, literature and culture are the main focuses.
- Course content
- Knowledge: to familiarise students with the historical and social roots of the Lusophone African countries, their place in the CPLP/PALOP and their global role. Skills: the course will enable students to see the pre-colonial and post-colonial development of Africa as a whole and to situate the legacy of the colonial past in the history of each country, taking into account the local specificities of history (climate, religion, migration, etc...). Attitude: at the end of the course, the student's perspective will be directed towards areas that will make him/her sensitive to the interpretation of contemporary phenomena such as racism, slavery, the nature of local wars. They will learn about the life and work of such figures of Hungarian African studies as László Magyar, István S.J. Czimmermann and László S.J. Menyhárth, and thus about our relations with this cultural sphere. Autonomy and responsibility: the student will become more aware of the challenges of the 21st century in relation to the world beyond Europe, taking into account the literature, culture and art of the whole of the Luzophonie.
