Oktatás célja

Áttekintést adni a hallgatóknak Észtország történelméről a kezdetektől napjainkig. Ismeretekkel szolgálni az észt politikai rendszerben, társadalomban és gazdaságban végbe ment változásokról; a témával kapcsolatos legfontosabb magyar nyelvű és külföldi irodalom megismertetése. Ezek az ismeretek hozzájárulnak az irodalomtörténeti és művelődéstörténeti anyag jobb elsajátításához is. To provide an outline of Estonian history from the beginnings until today. To provide information on the changes occurred in the Estonian political system, society and economy; to introduce to the core literature available about Estonian history both in an outside of Hungary in contribution to a better understanding of Estonian history of literature and history of culture.

Tantárgy tartalma

Őstörténet. A Kr. u. 1. évezred és korai írott források. Henrik Livóniai krónikája, a 13. század függetlenségi harcai és a vereség okai. A lovagrendi állam, a reformáció és a livóniai háború.  B. Russow krónikája és a svéd–lengyel háború. A svéd korszak és az északi háború. Estland és Livland kormányzóság az Orosz Birodalomban. A jobbágyfelszabadítás és a parasztság helyzetének alakulása a 19. sz. elején és közepén. A nemzeti ébredés és a nemzeti mozgalom különböző irányzatai. Az oroszosító politika időszaka a 19. század végén. Az 1905-ös események és az észtországi politikai helyzet. A függetlenség kimondásához vezető út és a függetlenség kikiáltása. A függetlenségi háború, a tartui béke és a két világháború közötti politikai rendszer. Észtország szovjetizálása és a második világháború. Kolhozosítás, deportálás, aktív és passzív ellenállás. Gazdasági és demográfiai változások. Az Észt SZSZK évtizedei. Az ún. daloló forradalom és a függetlenség helyreállítása. Észtország a 20. század végén és a 21. század elején. Prehistory, the first millennium AD and early written sources. The Livonian Chronicle of Henry, wars of independence in the 13th century and the reasons of defeat. The state under the Teutonic Order, the Protestant Reformation and the Livonian War. The Chronicle of B. Russow and the Polish–Swedish Wars. The Swedish rule and the Northern Wars. The governorates of Estonia and Livonia within the Russian Empire. The abolishment of serfdom and the situation of peasantry in the early and mid-19th century. The national awakening and different ways of national movement among Estonians. The road to independence and the declaration of independence. The Estonian War of Independence, the First Treaty of Tartu and the political system between the two world wars. The Soviet Occupation of Estonia and WWII. The kolkhoz system, deportation of Estonians, the post-war active and passive resistance. Economical and demographical changes and decades of the Estonian SSR. The commonly called Singing Revolution and the restoration of independence. Estonia at the end of the 20th century and at the dawn of the 21th century.
