Áttekintést adni a hallgatóknak a finn történelemről a kezdetektől napjainkig. Az így szerzett tudás hozzájárul a finn művelődés- és irodalomtörténeti tantárgyak jobb elsajátításához. To provide an outline of Finnish history from the beginnings until today with the introduction of Finnish terminology in contribution to a better understanding of Finnish history of literature and history of culture.

Course content

Őstörténet. A kereszténység megjelenése és a keresztes háborúk kora. Finnország és a finnek a középkorban. Svédország nagyhatalommá válása. A svéd korszak utolsó évszázada. Az Orosz Birodalom autonóm nagyhercegsége. A nemzeti mozgalom kibontakozása a 19. század második felében. Az „elnyomás évei” és az országgyűlés megújítása. A függetlenség megteremtése és a polgárháború. A két világháború közötti korszak. Finnország a második világháborúban. A „veszély évei” és Paasikivi politikája. Kekkonen és az aktív semlegesség. Az északi államok együttműködése és a finn gazdasági csoda. Finnország az EU-ban. Prehistory, the early Christian missions and the age of crusades. Medieval Finland and the medieval Finns. The rise of Sweden as a great power. The final century of the Swedish rule. The autonomous Duchy of Finland within the Russian Empire. The Finnish national movement and its development in the second half of the 19th century. The ‘years of repression’ and the renewal of the Finnish Parliament. The establishment of independence and the Finnish Civil War. Finland between the two world wars and in WWII. The ‘years of danger’ and the politics of Paasikivi. Kekkonen and the active neutrality. The cooperation of the Nordic Countries and the Finnish economic miracle. Finland in the European Union.

Assessment method

Kollokvium. Oral examination.
