- Learning outcomes
- Knowledge: has a perfect command of the A language; is a conscious language user. Competences: can translate written texts from the B language into Hungarian; at home with Hungarian sentence structures; can edit Hungarian texts; automatically uses linguistic rules based on their knowledge of the A language and text editing. Attitude: has critical thinking skills and can critically analyse the working conditions of translators; their professional activities and career are characterised by creative problem solving; can embrace new approaches to professional novelties and continuous professional development; boasts lifelong learning skills. Autonomy and responsibility: has the knowledge, skills, expertise and experience to act as an autonomous professional; boasts professional awareness; represents the professional and ethical principles of the profession.
- Course content
- Overview of translation-oriented Hungarian language use, typological differences of Indo-European languages and Hungarian, analytic and synthetic languages, Hungarian syntax; Hungarian discourse; translation-oriented spelling; editing and proofreading translated texts.
