- Knowledge: has a perfect command of the A language; has an excellent command of the B language; knows interpretation competence; has a general knowledge of the interpretation process. Skills: can carry out interpretation of oral speeches; produces equivalent speeches in the A languages that respect linguistic rules, structure and language use of the given language and the terminology of the subject area; selects and uses the correct interpretation strategy; interprets texts of different genres in a precise way taking into account cultural differences. Attitude: open to professional novelties; open to professional and methodological developments which increase the translator’s efficiency; adapts to the changing professional environment and working conditions; has critical thinking skills and can critically analyze the working conditions of translators; has a critical attitude towards professional processes and their own professional performance; their professional activity and career are characterized by creative problem solving; open to professional novelties and continuous professional development; boasts lifelong learning skills. Autonomy and responsibility: has the knowledge, skills, expertise and experience to act as an autonomous professional; represents the professional and ethical principles of the profession; boasts professional awareness; adheres to the ethical rules of the profession; treats confidential with discretion; uses documents they have access to in a responsible way.
- Course content
- The specificities of interpreting into the A language; conscious A language use; developing B language competence for interpreting; interpretation competence, skills, knowledge; strategies and automatisms; the interpreting process; interpretation-centred speech analysis; self and peer evaluation of interpreting performances, note taking for interpreting.

- final exam (interpretation) and continuous evaluation of home and classroom assignments
