- The course aims to support students who are nearing the end of their MA course by providing them with assistance in formal research methodology. of their MA course with assistance in formal research methodology for the preparation of their thesis, and for the planning, organisation and conduct of related research.
- Course content
- A six-month consultation session with a supervisor specialising in the chosen topic, who will assist with writing the thesis. Prepare a research plan. Conceptualising and operationalising the research. Formulation of the hypothesis and purpose of the research. Analysis techniques. Quantitative and qualitative research and data collection techniques. Data protection and ethical issues. Methods: questionnaire, interview, focus group, observation, participant observation and experimentation.
- Assessment method
- The evaluation is based on a practical grade. The basic guidelines for evaluating student work are set out in ELTE BTK's faculty regulations, which state that instructors select the means of evaluation based on the nature of the knowledge and skills imparted. Students are given a practical grade for completing their individual and group tasks, as well as their written, oral and practical work, during the diligence period.
