- The aim of the course is to provide master's students with an in-depth study of the most important authors of the literary history period, some of whom they have already studied in the basic course. In the course, we will explore the work of the most prominent authors of the post-World War II French novel, with a comparative focus on world literary trends, through the study of critical reception and works.

- The main topics covered are: The concept of metafiction and the modern novel The problem of reference in modern narrative literature The French novel Alain Robbe-Grillet: Les Gommes, 1953 La Jalousie, 1957 Dans le labyrinthe, 1959 Michel Butor: L'Emploi du temps, 1956 La Modification, 1957 Claude Simon: La Route des Flandres, 1960 Marguerite Duras: Moderato cantabile, 1958 Le Ravissement de Lol V. - Assessment method
- Checking your knowledge: A seminar paper, written during the semester, on a topic to be agreed upon, of at least 6 pages (excluding spaces and bibliography), 1550 characters long. At the end of the semester, students will also present their knowledge in the form of a final paper.
