- Learning outcomes
- Knowledge: Students will have an overview of the economic development of those EU-27 members having a post-communist past. They will gain an understanding of the concepts of economic theory and history, of the processes of integration and disintegration in the 19th-21st century. This knowledge will enable them to make competent judgements on the current events in the region’s economy and economic policy. The students will be capable of fulfilling all roles at service or production companies that demand specific economic knowledge about the Central European region. Skills: By possessing an historical perspective, the student - is capable of analysing the economic phenomena of today’s (East) Central European countries; - is able to disperse knowledge on the region; to do research in team. - to fulfil tasks in the service and processing sector that require knowledge on the region; - can do analytic tasks concerning the region. Attitudes: The subject encourages individual problem-solving thinking, creativity, critical inclination, debating skills, sensibility for quality, drive for accepting and processing new knowledge, conceptual way of thinking, abstraction, capacity of renewal, deliberation of multilateral methodological approaches. Autonomy and responsibility: The subject encourages the student to - take responsibility for her, his or its Hungarian and foreign language compositions; - apply her, his or its knowledge on the region; - consciously represent the set of knowledge and methods, by which the region is cognoscible; - accept differing methodology of other disciplines.
