- Oktatás célja
- The course provides an introduction to the technical and practical aspects of cultural heritage protection in both a domestic and international context. It contributes the students’ knowledge about the know-how of structuring and registration in the domain of art collections and other archives which deal with cultural heritage.
- Tantárgy tartalma
- The aim of the seminar is to acquaint students with the conceptual frames of integrated conservation of cultural heritage. The course is structured according to the branches and scopes of heritagization. Emphasis is placed on the methods applied in different branches of heritage conservation and protection, that is to say on the techniques applied in the realm of archaeology, monument conservation, (mobile) art objects as well as, what is more, intangible cultural heritage. Students will have the opportunity to follow the process of art objects from their discovery even until the act of museification/heritagization; to overview the complexity of issues of institutions concerned in a domestic and international context; to acquaint themselves with the tripartite purpose of museums (collection, conservation, and display). Besides, this course prepares the students for the seminar titled as “Cultural heritage protection – in social and economic context” (scheduled to the fourth semester).
- Számonkérés és értékelés
- Practice grade. The basic frame for evaluating student performance of the course determined by the university's code of conduct. According to this document, the instructor can determine the means of evaluation of the course depending on the nature of the field of knowledge and skills presented at the course. A practice grade usually takes the form of an evaluation based on written and/or presented works related to the student's work at a seminar individually or as a member of a student team.
