- a) Knowledge: The student knows the research methods needed to understand and explain the deeper context of German language, literature and culture. b) Skills: Ability to critically evaluate current research and academic work in cultural studies and interdisciplinary fields. c) Attitudes: His/her work and research take into account the historical, cultural and social determinants of cultural phenomena. d) Autonomy and responsibility: Responsibly represent the methods used in their chosen field and accept the autonomy and methodological specificities of other disciplines.
- Course content
- The most important approaches of current cultural studies discourses in the German-speaking world are explained and deepened on the basis of a main topic. The differentiated reading of specialised texts is part of the lecture.
