- The concept, research object, purpose, and theoretical foundations of textual studies. The relationship of textology with other linguistic disciplines (sentence theory, stylistics, and other disciplines). Definition of the text, text creation and text editing. Levels and theme of the text. The subject presents Ukrainian text linguistics according to the following topics: 1) definition of the text; 2) text creation and text editing; 3) text cohesion; 4) the syntactic level of the text; 5) the semantic level of the text; 6) the pragmatic level of the text; 7) the topic of the text; the topical and thematic division; 8) text editing methods.
