- Course content
- The main aim of the course is to develop the language skills of translation and interpreting students to a high level, especially in written and oral expression. The course will help students to communicate effectively and accurately in their C language. Emphasis is placed on grammatical accuracy, vocabulary development and the development of a sense of style. Throughout the course, students will learn to understand and use the nuances of the language accurately through practical exercises. Furthermore, students will learn how to adapt to different linguistic registers and contexts. Language development is an important part of the preparation for translation and interpreting work, as a high level of language proficiency is the basis for successful translation and interpreting. The aim of the course is to develop translators' text analysis skills and understanding of the linguistic expression of cultural differences. The development of linguistic creativity and flexibility is also an important part of the training, as translation work often requires the creative use of linguistic solutions. The course contributes to enhancing students' translation and interpreting skills by developing their critical thinking and linguistic reflection, and prepare students for the processing and accurate translation of texts in a professional language. Through written and oral tasks, students will be able to use the foreign language more confidently in professional contexts.
- Assessment method
- End-of-seminar grade, continuous assessment of the tasks carried out during the semester. The use of AI tools is governed by the Rector's Directive 4/2025 and the Dean's Directive II/2025 (XII. 12.).
