- Knowledge: knows CAT tools, their types and use; has extensive knowledge of the areas where the various CAT tools can be used; has IT knowledge needed for the use of CAT tools. Skills: selects and uses the language technology tool best suited for the translation task; advanced user of PC software; when translating uses CAT tools, software and ICTs Attitude: open to professional novelties; open to professional and methodological developments which increase the translator’s efficiency; adapts to the changing professional environment and working conditions; has critical thinking skills and can critically analyze the working conditions of translators; has a critical attitude towards professional processes and their own professional performance; their professional activity and career are characterized by creative problem solving; open to professional novelties and continuous professional development; boasts lifelong learning skills. - Tantárgy tartalma
- Translation projects in teams of 3-4 using CAT tools (translation memory, beginner level terminology databases, translation environment, workflow management systems); technology for project management and revision; team translation projects simulating different roles; basics of language technology.
