- Oktatás célja
- The law of the European internal market is part of the European law. The internal market is the most advanced element in European supranational integration. The course provides an introduction into the history of the European Union and into European Union law and then deals with EU internal market law, in particular with free movement of goods as an example. The course will show the developments of the concepts and ideas in this field. The participants will study how to approach a concrete case, work out the exact question of the case and formulate the case solution. A very strong role in the development of the freedoms has played and plays the ECJ. The course will give an overview over the legal actions at the European Court of Justice.

- Final grade will be based on a combination of the activities (20%, 10% each), Test 1 (40%) and Test 2 (40%) (both exams written). Test 1 and Test 2: Test 1 is written home. Test 1 will consist of two parts: a small case solution and 15 multiple choice questions. All necessary materials are provided. Test 2 is written in class under supervision. The duration of the test is two hours. During this time, the students are supposed to answer 15 multiple choice questions and solve two small cases.. All necessary materials are provided. A dictionary (not electronic) may be used. Activity 1 – homework: The four (4) homework assignments are a combination of applying what has already been learned in class and developing and preparing new content for the course. Students are encouraged to work together on the homework. It is okay to ask a classmate in good faith to clarify a problem or to find a solution. Activity 2 – paper presentation: To train oral presentation skills, each student will prepare a 10-minute presentation. This presentation will deal with a given topic. In addition to the oral presentation, the student has to prepare a PowerPoint or Prezi (or other type of presentation). This serves to support the oral presentation. Attention should be paid to the structure as well as to the content. The students have two weeks to prepare.
