- Overview The Pax Moot Court is a specialized moot court competition focusing on transnational law and private international law issues. After a basic introduction to private international law, the course will focus on the relevant EU and international sources of private international law. The course will be focusing on the practical aspects. The course materials include compulsory readings and case law materials. The outline of the issues to be covered during the classes is the following: 1. Introduction to Private International Law 2. Sources of Private International Law (international, EU, domestic) 3. Application of private international law rules
- Course content
- Students are expected to read the material in advance and discuss it in class. The materials can be downloaded from the e-learning (Moodle) site of the course. All students should read the material carefully beforehand and be prepared to explain it and comment on it.
- Assessment method
- - regular attendance (students are allowed to miss two classes per semester) - written piece, oral presentation
