It covers the basic principles, legal sources and practices of private international law, focusing on jurisdiction, choice of law and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments. Schedule • Introduction to Private International Law • Jurisdiction • Applicable law • Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments • Regional Perspectives on Private International Law • Contemporary Issues and Challenges Materials/Recommended readings The course materials include mandatory readings and case law materials. The materials for each class will be available on the course Moodle site. Assessment/Exam - regular attendance (students are allowed to miss two classes) - examination (moot court format)
