Learning outcomes
The course is designed to familiarise students with F. Scott Fitzgerald’s popular short novel The Great Gatsby and its four film adaptations
Course content
Close reading of the novel as well as analyses of film adaptations and if posssible, stage productions
Assessment method
-          regular attendance; set texts (as listed in weekly syllabus) read in full and in English for the appropriate seminars; copies of set texts in English brought in for the appropriate seminars; one presentation; end-term test (for the test read at least 3 articles as listed in weekly syllabus); active in-class participation in discussions as well as lively, interactive presentation of topics using visuals are encouraged.
