- The aim of the training [a concise description of the professional competences and elements of competence (knowledge, skills, attitudes, autonomy, responsibility) required]: Knowledge: the student should be familiar with the basic historical and genre characteristics of the visual and electronic media, their basic concepts and methods of analysis and, through this, the changes in the visual and electronic media. Furthermore, they should be familiar with the specific aspects of film analysis and be able to consult the relevant literature. Ability: to be able to identify different types of visual and electronic media, to draw conclusions about the framing of visual and electronic media and to be able to identify the implicit and explicit messages they carry. Be able to grasp the main lines of the visual language and structure of a film. Attitude: open to learning, applying and reflecting on knowledge. autonomy and responsibility: to be able to orientate oneself in the world of German visual and electronic media and German film and to be open to its didactic application and transmission in public education.
- Course content
- The seminar aims to provide a basic knowledge of the various communication media, including the visual and electronic media, their development and current changes, with particular reference to the German language area, through concrete examples. Among the visual media, it will focus on the film genre and, on the basis of some classic German films, will review the most basic concepts and aspects of visual media analysis.
