- a) Knowledge: He/she knows the modern results of cultural studies research and their methodology. b) Skills: He/she is able to review and interpret literary works, other forms of expression of the target language culture and literature on them, and to place them in literary and cultural trends. c) Attitudes: The student makes conscious use of the transfer effect. d) Autonomy and responsibility: The student is able to search for, review and interpret literature relevant to his/her profession, to plan and implement his/her own professional development, to reflect on classroom and other experiences, to continuously renew professionally and linguistical.
- Course content
- The seminar will present the central issues of cultural studies and their implications for literary studies in the context of a case study. Focusing on the application of cultural studies approaches, the seminar will examine the methodological and thematic possibilities of expanding the toolbox of German literary studies in the context of specific periods, works and genres.
