- (a) Knowledge: Based on the knowledge of literary history acquired during previous studies, the seminar chooses a more in-depth analytical approach focusing on a single problem. Accordingly, the subject of the seminar is flexible and involves an analytical examination of an oeuvre or theme of German-language literature. In this context, the rapporteur provides a comprehensive knowledge of the most important theses and their changes in the history of Germanistics, detailing the latest scientific results. In the case of more extensive oeuvres/themes, sometimes spanning literary historical periods or affecting several stylistic trends, or if the author's representation of genres and/or impact history in German-language literature and world literature is broad, the "œuvre" examination may be thematically narrowed down to periods, style trends, genres, examinations of relationship history issues and their combinations. (b) Skills: the ability to review larger relationships, reflect on comprehensive problems, identify style issues and relationship history processes. (c) Attitudes: He assumes and credibly represents the social role of his profession, its fundamental relation to the world. To authentically convey and transmit the basic characteristics of the comprehensive way of thinking and practical functioning of your open profession. He strives to make self-education one of the means of achieving his professional goals. It makes its decision in complex and unexpected decision-making situations, taking full account of the laws and ethical standards. (d) Autonomy and responsibility: Capability of thinking over independently the comprehensive, fundamental questions of their profession and of elaborating them by using given sources, even in unexpected decision making situations. Relation on professional guidance in thinking over general and specific professional issues and in elaborating them by using given sources. Working autonomously.
- Course content
- The literature of the unit varies according to the author's oeuvre/theme chosen as the subject of the lecture. The students' work will draw on author monographs, articles, genre theories, literary theories and other publications related to the topic.
