Description
Learning outcomes
a) Knowledge: The students know the historical and genre-specific variants of German prose, the basic terms and methods of prose interpretation. They know the characteristics of the literary epochs, the development of the literary canon and can orientate themselves in the secondary literature. b) Skills: Students can identify the characteristics of the different text types and contextualise them historically. They can grasp the current meaning of the analysed text as well as think further about the relevant secondary literature. c) Attitudes: he students are open to applying the knowledge analytically and are also interested in the processes of contemporary literature. d) Autonomy and responsibility: The students are open to working out the application of German-language prose in the teaching methodology and are committed to teaching prose in school education.
Course content
The seminar leader chooses between two methods: either he reads and analyses the works of an author together with the students, or he chooses representative works from the literary field around the author, which complement and place the chosen author in the literature of the time and in the genres he represents Skill in reviewing contexts, reflection on problems, stylistic issues, and the recognition of relational processes
