- Learning outcomes
- To demonstrate and describe the competencies of a teacher, to make teacher trainees aware of these for the development of their listening and speaking skills, and for classroom observation and analysis. Knowledge: students are aware of the peculiarities of listening comprehension and speaking skills and they are in possession of professional knowledge necessary to develop skills to handle linguistic issues in the classroom. Competences: students can design and implement language lessons based on various texts. They are able to develop their listening and speaking skills systematically and deliberately, they can develop and realize their foreign language learning and using strategies, they can design classroom materials and also to practise them in the form of microteaching sessions, to realize internal differentiation and to design diverse working methods, they are able to analyse coursebooks, and reflect on classes observed previously. Attitude: students will become open to understand teachers’ duties. Autonomy and responsibilities: students interpret their duties as teachers autonomously and deliberately.

- European and Hungarian documents that form the curricular basis of language teaching, definition of language ability according to the Common Framework of Reference for European Languages and models of development, the level of language ability, conditions of successful communication, development of listening and speaking skills in coursebooks, deductions drawn on classroom observation, new media in language learning.
