- Course content
- The aim of the course is to introduce and discuss the advanced topics of biometry and advanced biostatistics, and to practice the use of this acquired knowledge in answering biological questions. Main topics of the course: Nonparametric tests, GLM (regression, ANOVA, general linear models, model evaluation), data representation, randomization procedures, sampling, multivariate data analysis, Bayesian statistics.
- Assessment method
- gy5 = practice mark (5) (1 failed, 5 excellent) The evaluation and assessment are based on the achievements of students during the semester. Visiting of the practices are compulsory to fulfil the course. The practical mark is calculated based on marks gained in the evaluation of the laboratory notes of the practices, the written midterms and practical tasks conducted about the materials of the practice during the semester.
