- Description
- Geography as a science significantly influences agricultural cultures. The grape and wine industry is similarly closely related to the earth sciences. During the course, we review these connection points by examining the Hungarian wine industry. Each class ends with a tasting of a typical Hungarian wine. (The price of the wines must be paid. Occasionally it does not exceed HUF 800-1,500 per person.) On request, a field trip to a selected wine region is possible.
- Learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to present the viticulture and wine economy of Hungary, to explore their geographical connections. By the end of the course the students will get to know the history of the Hungarian wine sector, the wine regions, their geographical characteristics, and grape and wine varieties.
