Learning outcomes
a) Knowledge: -The primary goal of the subject is to increase the students' ability to present and to get acquainted with certain research topics and research methods often used in materials science during the preparation of their own lecture. - To discuss the problems related to the General Physics lectures and also to practice the lecture-materials with calculations, using the according thematic of General Physics. -At the system level and in its context, he/she knows the comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of the main topics of physics. b) Abilities: -To be able to recognize the physical principles of natural phenomena, to study and theoretically interpret these phenomena for scientific purposes. -To be able to participate in the work of research groups conducting basic and applied physical research. c) Attitude: -To be characterized by creativity, flexibility, problem recognition and solution skills, intuition, methodicality and data processing skills. -To seek to learn about new achievements in modern physics and to apply them as widely as possible. d) Autonomy and responsibility: -In the field of modern physics, he/she has a high degree of independence in elaborating comprehensive and special professional issues, representing and justifying professional views. -He/she consciously and responsibly takes on the worldview of science.
Course content
Thematic of the course: Discussing the problems related to the general physics lectures, practicing the lecture-materials with calculations using the thematic of general physics, getting acquainted with certain research topics and research methods often used in materials science, preparing and presenting seminar for a topic in materials science.
Assessment method
Written test, presenting seminar (Gy5)
