- Use of renewable energy sources, available technologies. Current and expected future distribution of renewables. International context of energy and environmental policy. Competencies: Knowledge: Gets acquainted with the topics covered in the course description, deepens previous knowledge. Ability: Able to gather information independently and critically analyse sources. Able to work independently. Able to give oral and written account of acquired knowledge. Attitude: Continuously follows the lectures. Is characterized by a collaborative, networking attitude in problem-solving. Autonomy and Responsibility: Open to teamwork, to effective communication between different professionals. They can extend the knowledge acquired and use it in their future studies and work.
- Course content
- History of energy use: past, present, future. Types, origins, and potentially available resources of renewable energy sources. Energy and environmental policies. Sustainability.
- Assessment method
- Written or oral exam (5 levels), a grade may be offered on the basis of performances during the semester
