- The aim of this course is to deal with literary texts on an interactive level. Besides reading literary works, we also work with them as editors and translators. We use translation to engage with various aspects of literary criticism and theory while reading and processing texts. Competence in both English and Hungarian is required.
- Course content
- We will read selected, mostly 19th and 20th-century literary works and process them from more than one perspective.
- Assessment method
- Weekly instalments of text editing, critical appraisal, and translation; peer reading of each other’s texts; end-term essay feedback.
