Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the basics of fact-based journalism and to improve students’ critical thinking skills.
Course content
We will read, analyze and compare news items from as far as content and structure are concerned. Students are expected to give presentations in connection with the development of fact-based journalism, write summaries of news items on a weekly basis, and read the set readings. Discussion and debate will also form a significant part of the course. Students have to take vocabulary quizzes every second week on 50 words.

Regular attendance, active participation, presentation, regular written assignments, vocabulary tests
