- The aim of the course announced for the BA major is for the students - through theoretical and methodological studies and syntheses - to become familiar with one of the most important research traditions of Hungarian ethnography, the issue of the spatial distribution of popular cultural phenomena, the main researchers and research results, the landscape-historical aspects of popular culture with the reasons for its division and its conceptual system. During the semester, we will work on the Highlands and the Transdanubia out of our four great landscapes. The course also covers the role of local and regional tradition arising from spatiality in the reimagining and revitalization of different landscapes and settlements' own traditions at the turn of the millennium. In addition to acquiring theoretical knowledge, students must also report on the practical use of their knowledge. Everyone has to make their own 10-minute video about a selected landscape unit and present it during the lesson.

- The recommended colloquium grade consists of the assessment of the ZH and the video (50-50%).
