- Learning outcomes
- The purpose of the course announced for the BA major is to introduce students to the theory and practice of urban anthropology research. Within this, the lessons are organized around the functions of urban public spaces, techniques of space use and interpretations of public spaces. During the semester, students will get to know various methods and results of research on the urban public space, from human ecology (Chicago School) to mental city studies and microanthropological approaches popular since Kevin Lynch. The participants of the course use the knowledge in practice through their own empirical research.
