- The purpose of the education is to provide an overview of the cultural anthropological research traditions and methods of investigation, separated from the research of traditional natural peoples (hordes, tribes, peasants), taking place in the complex modern state framework and space, in such a way that, based on the knowledge acquired here, the students are able - even with the aim of an undergraduate final thesis - to initiate own empirical research. The aim of the course is to learn about the main conceptual and research nodes of discourses in cultural anthropology.
- Course content
- The courses offered within the subject have different themes, but they all have in common that the topics affect the issues of complex societies, current research and the history of the topic. The topics of the courses announced so far within the subject are: anthropology of national culture, Gypsy cultures from an anthropological point of view, anthropology of tourism, anthropology of football.
- Assessment method
- Assessment and evaluation system: colloquium ticket. The basic guidelines for the evaluation of student work are laid down in the ELTE BTK faculty regulations, which state that the instructor selects the means of evaluation of student work in view of the nature of the knowledge and skills imparted. you can get it individually or as part of a group.
