- Oktatás célja
- The course uses examples from various stages of British cultural history (the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Romantic period, Postmodernism) to offer insights into the relationship between literary, cultural and social phenomena. Exploring issues of literature in the context of intellectual history, it shows how for instance realism or fantasy are not issues confined to literature, or how such concepts as subjectivity or power or privacy are relevant for understanding literature and its history.

- A selection of novels and short stories, and a selection of the relevant theoretical texts, as specified by the instructors.
- Számonkérés és értékelés
- Preliminary exam mark offered based on in-class activity (two tests). If the preliminary mark is rejected, the student can opt for an oral exam.
