- The aim of the course is to give a general MA level introduction to translation studies. The course begins with the discussion of mediation based on the CEFR (2017), with special emphasis on linguistic mediation. Then the course explores various aspects of the theory of translation.
- Course content
- Given that the main focus is on theoretical issues, the classes and tasks are in English. The participants will be expected to complete weekly readings, write short quizzes, and take an active part in class discussions.
- Assessment method
- Requirements: Regular attendance and active participation in discussions, and the completion of all the assignments (including readings, regular classroom tests, and a written assignment).
