- The aim of this course is to familiarise students with various topics of psycholinguistics and enable them to carry out small-scale empirical research in this area.
- Course content
- Topics that are covered during the course typically include language and the brain, the mental lexicon, language processing, attrition, writing processes, reading processes, listening processes, speaking processes and comprehension. Students will be offered the possibility to discuss these topics in class, and they will be given hands-on experience with conducting a small-scale empirical or library research study in the field, which could potentially be developed into an MA thesis.
- Assessment method
- Assessment is based on attendance, participation, reading and presenting articles, conducting and presenting a mini research project, and writing it up as a seminar paper and a test.
