Learning outcomes
This course focuses on the First Peoples of Canada, and will explore the following areas: family and community, traditions, cultural and artistic expression, and current issues.
Course content
Topics will be explored through guided tasks. There will be weekly assignments that are completed either in groups or individually.
Assessment method
Assessment in this course will be in the form of a portfolio that each student will submit in the last week of the semester. Marks are also awarded for preparation and participation, as well as required assignments. Attendance in the seminars is compulsory.
Bibliography
All learning materials are provided. Independent research is also required.
