- The aim of the subject is to acquire special knowledge of Russian descriptive and historical linguistics, as well as various narrower areas of literary history, according to the expected professional orientation of the students. With their changing themes, specialized seminars and specialized colleges, which can be renewed from semester to semester, can offer a choice in the field of language development and vocabulary expansion, but their primary goal is to provide insight into a topic or field of expertise, and thereby provide students with assistance in choosing the topic of their thesis or diploma work, the necessary to learn the methodology of research, and open up the possibility of preparing for scientific work.

- Five-level evaluation, based on the results of the tasks completed during the semester.
