- 1. Course Description: The course aims to develop students' understanding and practical application of Russian specialized language in economics and international relations. Throughout the semester, students engage with authentic professional texts to acquire the linguistic structures and terminology used in economic and diplomatic communication. The seminar introduces the challenges of specialized translation and enhances students' terminological competence. The course also emphasizes active language use, particularly in translating and analyzing official documents, contracts, and economic reports. 2. Course Objectives: The course prepares students to achieve proficiency in specialized translation and professional communication. By the end of the course, students will have improved their command of Russian in specialized contexts, particularly in understanding economic and diplomatic texts and applying different registers of professional language. 3. Competencies Knowledge: Terminology and linguistic structures of specialized language in economics and international relations. Theoretical and practical aspects of specialized translation and professional communication. The application of formal and contractual language in Russian. Skills: Interpretation and translation of professional texts. Development of professional communication skills in economic and international contexts. Application of cultural and stylistic equivalence in specialized translation. Attitude: Openness to specialized translation and international communication. Ethical and professional approach to specialized language use.

Translation of press articles and economic reports. Negotiation and business correspondence in Russian-speaking contexts. Intercultural aspects of international communication.
