Students develop their methodological competencies that are necessary for conducting science education sessions in English in kindergarten, and also gain practice through micro-teaching and reflection. They explore the characteristics of the natural processes of early childhood learning. They broaden their theoretical and methodological knowledge by using English theoretical and methodological sources.

Course content
The concepts of science, learning and understanding. The way children learn about their environment; curiosity, motivation. Concept building and the prior knowledge. The aims of teaching science, the steps of planning teaching. Indirect teaching and discovery learning; science activities, experiments and models. Using English resources for improving students' scientific knowledge and finding creative teaching ideas.
Assessment method
practice mark (1-5): active in-class participation, planning and instructing science activities, portfolio
