Oktatás célja

The course aims to provide an introduction to the major theoretical paradigms of special needs education, their historical development, and the fundamental concepts of the field. In the second part of the course, students will gain an overview of the main areas of special needs education, including their basic concepts, key characteristics, and current developments within the Hungarian academic tradition. Knowledge: Knowledge of the basic concepts, key interrelationships and issues in special needs education. Knowledge of the principles of cooperation and partnership with people with disabilities. Understanding of the importance of reflective and critical thinking in professional practice. Skills: Ability to critically analyse one's own practice and to interpret and evaluate personal views in a reflective manner.. Attitudes: Commitment to empowering approaches that focus on the development of people with disabilities. Openness to learning about digital technologies, ICT tools, and related methodologies. Autonomy and responsibility: Commitment to lifelong learning and openness to new experiences. Ability to take responsibility for one's own learning, progress, and achievements.

Special needs education as an applied science. The scientific-systematic position and internal disciplinary system of special needs education in the Hungarian tradition of special needs education Changes in the concept of disability from a person-oriented approach to social and legal perspectives Change in disability concepts of the WHO The systemic perspective of special needs education: stigmatization, selection, integration, normalization, participation Basic concepts of pedagogy and rehabilitation of the visually impaired persons Basic concepts of pedagogy and rehabilitation of the hearing impaired persons Basic concepts of somatopedagogy Basic concepts of speech and language therapy Basic concepts of pedagogy and rehabilitation of the learning disabled persons Basic concepts of the pedagogy of the intellectually disabled persons Basic concepts of autism spectrum pedagogy Basic concepts of psychopedagogy

Számonkérés és értékelés

The course concludes with a written examination. Final grades will be awarded according to the following scale: 0–49%: Fail 50–59%: Pass 60–69%: Satisfactory 70–84%: Good 85–100%: Excellent
